Private beta
Help us ship the right product.
We're rolling out Simcha DB Studio to a curated cohort of database and platform teams. Beta participants get early access to a hosted sandbox, a direct line to the team, and influence over what ships at GA.
What you get
- Hosted sandbox at beta.simchadbstudio.com, no install
- Sample PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, and MongoDB databases pre-loaded
- Full Change Manager plus IDE workflow
- Bring your own (non-production) connections too
- A "Report an issue" button in the app to send feedback straight to the team
- Early access to new features as they ship
What we ask in return
- Honest feedback, what works, what doesn't, what's missing
- A 30-minute kickoff call so we know how you'd actually use it
- Permission to follow up over the cohort window (4-6 weeks)
We admit beta users in waves. After you submit, expect a reply within 1-2 business days with next steps. Trouble with the form? Email contactus@simchasolutions.com.
Do I need to install anything?
No. The beta runs entirely in your browser at beta.simchadbstudio.com. We pre-load the environment with sample databases across PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, and MongoDB so you can see it work in seconds.
Is the beta free?
Yes. Beta participants are not charged. We're trading product access for honest feedback that shapes the GA release. Beta users will get founding-customer terms when commercial plans open after GA.
Why is this invite-only?
A small cohort lets us work closely with each user, ship fixes fast, and keep quality high. We'd rather get 20 users to love the product than 2,000 users to be ambivalent about it.
How long does the beta last?
Each cohort runs about 4-6 weeks. After that, you can either continue using the sandbox while we move toward GA or transition to a self-hosted install if you'd rather run it on your own infrastructure.
Can I bring my own databases?
Yes. We strongly recommend pointing the beta at non-production databases during evaluation. Connection passwords are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM.
What does “founding-customer terms” mean?
When we open commercial plans after GA, beta participants get pricing and term protections we won't offer to anyone who joins later. Specifics will be shared with the cohort before GA.
Is my data sent anywhere I should know about?
During the hosted beta, your queries and results pass through our AWS infrastructure in us-east-2. We do not log query results, only metadata (user, timestamp, request ID, action). If you enable the optional AI features with a cloud provider, schema metadata (not row data by default) is sent to that provider to answer your request; a local model option keeps everything on your network. If you want a fully self-hosted setup during beta, mention it on the form and we'll work something out.
What if I want to leave the beta?
Just stop using it or send us an email, no obligations. We'll delete your sandbox account on request and within 30 days of cohort end by default.
