Stop paying enterprise prices for software.

AI changed the economics of building. We design and ship the custom software and internal tools that replace the expensive products on your invoice, and we make Simcha DB Studio, a database DevOps workspace priced the way software should be.

What we do

Most companies pay for a stack of tools they barely use: seats, tiers, add-ons, renewals. Simcha Solutions exists to close that gap. With modern AI in the build loop, a small senior team can deliver the custom software a business actually needs, shaped to how it works and owned outright, for a fraction of the cost of buying. We build that software, and when we see the same gap across many companies, we turn it into an affordable product. Simcha DB Studio is the first.

Three engineering practices, one team

The engineering muscle behind every build: three disciplines, shared operational principles, the same engineers moving between them.

Cloud Engineering

Secure, scalable cloud foundations on AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and CloudFormation. Multi-cloud architecture, migration, and modernization for teams that need to grow without losing control of cost and posture.

Cloud foundations →

Data Engineering

Modern data platforms, warehouses, lakehouses, real-time streaming, and the orchestration glue between them. Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, dbt, Airflow, Kafka. The pipelines you can actually trust to feed your analytics, your ML, and your customer-facing features.

Data platform work →

AI/ML Engineering

Production LLM applications, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), agent architectures, and the MLOps to ship them safely. OpenAI, Anthropic, AWS Bedrock, Azure OpenAI, and open-source models. Evals, guardrails, observability, the discipline that turns a demo into a system you can run.

How an engagement works

The same four-phase shape for every engagement, regardless of scope. Tight at the front, deliberate in the middle, owned by your team at the end.

01

Discovery

One to two weeks embedded with your team. We read the code, attend the standups, and understand the constraints. The output is a tight scope you can sign off on.

02

Architecture

Two to three weeks of design work, documented and reviewed with your engineers. Tradeoffs named explicitly. We don't build until we agree on what we're building and why.

03

Implementation

We do the work, in your repo, against your CI, through your code review. Daily progress, weekly demos. Your team owns everything we ship the moment it lands.

04

Handoff

Operational runbooks, incident playbooks, on-call documentation. The engagement ends when your team is operating what we built, not the day we stop billing.

What's different about working with us

Four things we hold to, every engagement. They're the reason most of our work comes from referrals.

Senior engineers only

No junior staffing, no offshore handoff. The engineer you meet in discovery is the engineer doing the work. We staff every engagement with people who have shipped the kind of system you're asking us to build.

We ship the runbook

Every engagement ends with operational documentation your team can actually use. Not a 100-page PDF nobody reads, runnable scripts, version-controlled docs, and incident playbooks committed to your repo.

Patterns become products

When we see the same operational gap across multiple clients, we build software to close it. Simcha DB Studio is the first product we've extracted from our consulting work. It won't be the last.

Embedded, not arms-length

We work inside your code review, your CI/CD, and your team's chat. We pair with your engineers. We don't deliver from over a wall and we don't disappear at handoff, we stay reachable for questions.

Built by people who've shipped this work themselves.

Simcha Solutions was founded out of years of Cloud, Data, and platform engineering work for teams across regulated industries. The shared frustration, that the tools and processes were never quite right, became the reason to build our own.
